PET is used widely in plastic processing field because it has good transparent, neutrality in taste, high impact resistance, easy recyclability, and other excellent properties. Usually, PET sheet extrusion lines have up to three layers and two or three extruders. While the center layer of such products can contain a high percentage of recycled material, the outer layers consist of virgin resin combined with anti-block additives. Common are also structures with PETG, a modified, uncrystallizable PET, on the outer layers. These are known as G/A/G structures.
